Dr Lakshmi Sowjanya Battula, BDS, ADC, MRACDS(PDS)

"Modern dentistry delivered with precision, care, and comfort."

Dr Lakshmi Sowjanya Battula is a highly experienced and compassionate dentist known for her gentle approach, meticulous attention to detail and genuine commitment to making every patient feel at ease.

Dr Battula graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery in 2007 and completed her Australian Dental Council accreditation in Sydney. She holds membership with the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons (MRACDS(PDS))—a prestigious qualification that reflects her dedication to clinical excellence and professional growth.

Her experience spans private practice, public dental settings and academia. Since 2014, she has taught and mentored final-year dental students at the University of Melbourne, and she remains passionate about supporting new graduates through complex cases. She has also completed advanced training in dentoalveolar surgery, served as an Advanced Radiological Interpreter (Tier 2) with Dental Health Services Victoria, and participated in the Dental Champions Program.

Clinically, Dr Battula takes a biomimetic approach, preserving natural tooth structure wherever possible and planning every treatment with a long-term perspective. Her expertise covers restorative and cosmetic dentistry, children's dentistry, dental implants, oral surgery including wisdom teeth removal, periodontal care, and the management of jaw pain and sleep apnoea.

She is a strong advocate for pain-conscious dentistry, using gentle techniques and nitrous oxide (happy gas) sedation to ensure every patient feels comfortable throughout their care.

Outside the clinic, Dr Battula enjoys walks in nature, watching sunrises, spending time with family and friends, reading, listening to music, and taking part in creative projects. She also volunteers with local community initiatives—values that carry directly into the warm, grounded environment she creates for her patients.

We're proud to have her leading the team at Warragul Smiles Dental.

We Look forward to Seeing Your Smile
